Ramirez Chimney Company is now booking summer chimney sweep appointments across Beverly. Older brick chimneys in the city’s historic neighborhoods need early attention to prevent hidden damage from summer storms and fireplace use. Schedule now to secure your spot before the peak season rush.
Why Beverly’s older brick chimneys need summer sweeps
Beverly’s older brick chimneys, especially those in the North Beverly or downtown historic districts, often hide unseen issues like cracked liners or creosote buildup. Summer heat and humidity can worsen minor cracks, while summer storms test weakened masonry. A professional sweep removes flammable creosote and checks for water damage, critical for homes with original 19th-century brickwork. What to expect during your Beverly chimney sweep appointment
Your appointment starts with a visual inspection of the exterior brick and crown, then a full flue cleaning using rotary brushes sized for older chimneys. We check for common Beverly-specific issues like salt corrosion from ocean air or mortar deterioration near the roofline. Expect a 45–60 minute visit; we’ll leave a detailed report with photos of any concerns. See our full service list and book online today.
